Freya, Fix8 and Knight Frank
Growing Pains Interview
Earlier this year, Fix8 co-founder Freya Twigden was invited to be a part of an interview series called “Growing Pains”, led by Knight Frank’s Flexible Office Solutions team, to discuss the highs and lows of starting her business from scratch.
You can read the full interview here. In the meantime, here are a few highlights:
Freya on imposter syndrome: When I feel unqualified, I say to myself: ‘Well Freya, you couldn’t have gone to school for this’. No-one could have taught me how to face these challenges. Your mindset is everything.
Freya on work-life balance: Wake up and give the first few hours of your day to yourself. Because without you, there’s no business.
Freya on the scariest part of the journey: At the end of the day, you’re creating a product to serve and please people, and with that comes a fear of rejection.
Freya on tackling loneliness: Connect with other founders who have been in your situation before. I meet anyone and everyone for a coffee and really listen to any advice they have.
Freya’s advice to other founders: Crack on. Get started. There’s never going to be a perfect moment. You might fail, but that’s fine. You’ll learn from it.
Freya’s book recommendation: The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. But a book every entrepreneur should read is The Obstacle is the Way, which teaches you that every obstacle in life is an opportunity for you to learn.
Knight Frank’s Flexible Office Solutions team are experts in finding you the perfect office space at the best price – no matter how big or small your business is. Read the full interview.
