On May 12th, a 7.9 magnitude earthquake struck China’s Sichuan Province. Since then, rescuers have pulled 33,434 people from the rubble alive, but in two weeks, no additional rescues have been reported. The death toll is currently 68,000 but could rise to 80,000 as hopes of finding more survivors wanes. Fifteen million people are displaced by China’s largest disaster in decades.
